Texas Christian University Joins VOICE; Chancellor Daniel Pullin Named to Presidents Advisory Council

IRVINE, CA. —  VOICE today announced that Texas Christian University has joined the organization as a member institution, and that TCU Chancellor Daniel W. Pullin has been named to the VOICE Presidents Advisory Council.

TCU's membership reflects a strategic investment in esports as part of the university's broader commitment to innovation and student engagement. Through collaboration among the TCU Innovation Network, Student Affairs, and Information Technology, the university is expanding opportunities for students to compete and build community through esports.

The investment aligns with TCU's growing emphasis on technology and digital experiences. As the university continues to expand its Computer Science and Engineering programs, esports complements that academic focus by giving students a competitive and social outlet at the intersection of gaming, technology and community.

As part of this commitment, TCU is creating a dedicated esports space and enhanced gaming lab. The facility will provide improved resources for student competitors while opening the door for the broader campus community to participate and engage.

TCU's esports program enters VOICE membership following a strong year of competitive achievement. During the 2025–26 academic year, TCU teams earned multiple conference playoff appearances, qualified for national competitions and achieved multiple divisional promotions, positioning the university to contribute meaningfully to VOICE’s efforts to advance collegiate esports.

“At TCU, we believe innovation begins with creating opportunities for students to learn, collaborate and lead in new ways,” said Texas Christian University Chancellor Daniel W. Pullin. “Our involvement with VOICE reflects TCU’s commitment to supporting an evolving esports landscape while ensuring our students have access to unique experiences both inside and outside the classroom."
"TCU is exactly the kind of institution that makes college esports stronger," said Jesse Bodony, Executive Director of VOICE. "They're building it deliberately with investment from leadership, facilities that serve the whole student body, and a program that is focused on competitive success. Chancellor Pullin's decision to join our Presidents Advisory Council reinforces our conviction that collegiate esports deserves attention at the highest levels of university leadership, and his involvement will help shape how this space matures nationally."

Through its participation in VOICE, TCU will engage with peer institutions to explore emerging opportunities and help shape the future of collegiate esports. The Presidents Advisory Council brings together university presidents and chancellors who are committed to providing institutional leadership and strategic direction as collegiate esports continues to grow.
