UCI Joins VOICE as a Founding Member to Shape Collegiate Esports
The University of California, Irvine (UCI) has become a founding member of the Voice of Intercollegiate Esports (VOICE), a nonprofit dedicated to shaping the future of collegiate esports. UCI Chancellor Howard Gillman will lead the VOICE President’s Council, bringing together leaders from top universities to address challenges in the growing collegiate esports landscape.
As a VOICE member, UCI will gain access to industry reports, best-practice resources, and networking opportunities to support its established esports program. Mark Deppe, founding director of UCI Esports, will serve on the VOICE board.
This move underscores UCI’s commitment to advancing higher education’s role in collegiate esports, aligning with VOICE’s mission to unify and support universities in the evolving esports ecosystem.
